MLB.TV Front And Center At iPad Launch

xP476U9DMajor League Baseball representatives were on stage today at the launch of Apple’s highly anticipated tablet product, the iPad.  iPad users will be able to watch all of the 2,430 games available this season through the MLB.TV package on the iPad products via WiFi or 3G.  If you splurge for the premium package you get all of the great  online features like choice of home or away broadcast feeds,  DVR for pausing, rewinding and jumping back to live action; and a multi-game view (Quad Mode, Picture in Picture and Split Screen).  According to Chad Evans of MLB  there will also be special features for iPad users: “Now with all this great screen space, we can show you the video highlights while the game is going on,” Evans said. “The first thing you notice is baseball is amazing on this screen, and now we’ve enhanced it. He went through several screen displays showing how the content will look, including users’ ability to touch players for details, bells and whistles, and to access data pertinent to game situations.  Yearly subscriptions are now available at $99.95 for MLB.TV and $119.95 for MLB.TV Premium.
