We sifted through the mounds of stuff we get each year to find the perfect gifts for sports/tech fans this holiday season

Dan’s List

1) Nike “+” Sportsband ($59 Direct) – While it looks like an ordinary digital Wristwatch its actually a whole lot more. The SportBand acts as the link between the Nike+ shoe module and a Web-based fitness tracking service that monitors your physical activity including the number of steps you take, how many calories you burn on a daily basis, and more.  You place a tiny module in your Nike + shoes and the info is transferred to your wristband via a blue-tooth connection.

2) The iPod Nano ($150) – I know its not too original but who has the pockets to carry around another gadget when you are out doing stuff.  I use it for video when I’m at a game or biking.

3) Burton Fix Snowboard ($499.95) – For snowboarding novices this is a well designed, highly forgiving board is super easy to press and manipulate. Flexible, with Scoop tips and Rail Ready™ edges— everything about this board has been designed to help you quickly get up to speed with boarders who have been doing it for years.
