This guy might be covering your baseball gamesToday the New York Times reported on some students working in Northwestern’s Intelligent Information Laboratory have written some software that can write a sports story automatically if given the stats.  The program called Stats Monkey can spit out a written story on the game when given the box scores and the play by play.  The baseball example they give is petty scary and if it works could give some newspaper reporters a run for their money.
